Cameos

St John Antiques always carries a great collection of Victorian and early 20th century cameos.  We mostly carry broaches/pendants but some rings.  We look for the beautifully carved ladies but also seek out the hard to find landscape cameos.  Some are marked 14kt gold, and many of the Victorian pieces test 10 or 14 kt.  Victorian gold on cameos was not marked. 

We also carry other Victorian jewelry including “mourning jewelry.”  Mourning jewelry includes items made with the braided hair of the deceased, such as bracelets or pendants set with the hair.
